Invest in yourself
Adulting is hard! We have responsibilities and commitments. We have to take care of stuff. Along the way, we often forget to take care of ourselves. Consequently, we do not feel as awesome as we want to be.
Movement is an essential form of self-care. It strengthens our muscles and joints, improves balance and coordination, enhances mobility and flexibility, and supports our overall wellbeing.
Pilates is a method of movement and breath to help you improve your physical and mental strength, flexibility, and balance. Gift yourself time to tune in and move. You are worth it!
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise system that focuses on strengthening the core muscles (abs, lower back, pelvis, and hips) to improve your posture, mobility, flexibility, and balance. It was developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1910s to help hospital patients develop muscle strength.
What I like about Pilates is that it is an exercise method that anyone can participate in regardless of their abilities and body types. There are variations for different abilities. There is a focus on proper technique and safety, and learning about our own bodies and how we move.
